The knife is numbered 406 of only approximately 1000 produced and remains in very good plus condition showing most of the original bright polish on the blade with minor scratching and sharpening. The light colored grooved wooden handle shows a small chip of wood missing at the top edge along with light inspector marks visible beneath carved initials D.F. who was probably the original solder who carried it. Included is a authentic leather scabbard with brass mounts and early type hanger marked watervliet arsenal. The scabbard is good with normal cracking, aging, and other small imperfections. The brass shows a deep patina. Priced very reasonably at $949.
