Rare Memphis novelty works marked Confederate cavalry saber. Providence Albaugh, Stanley Diefenthal, “Rusty” R. L. White collections. The sword remains in very good condition with correct scabbard. Single wire wrapped grip is sound and tight. Uncleaned patina overall with fairly smooth surfaces showing minor pitting, normal aging and cleaning. The brass rings and hangers uncleaned and brass drag intact. Correct seemed scabbard and pommel nut never disturbed or reworked. The best of this type R. L. White never had the chance to buy when he purchased the majority of Diefenthal collection. Authentic and guaranteed for life (or longer).
