Presented by Queen Victoria to Alex Robertson for winning the tossing of the caber at the Scottish games held at Balmoral Castle in 1859. The pair are magnificently engraved and stocked in sterling silver barring an inscription and royal crests. The pair were made by Marshall & Sons of Edenborough, Scotland and are believed to be drawn from the queens personal collection housed in the armory at Balmoral Castle.
