Colt single action army revolver, .41 Colt caliber, 4 ¾ inch barrel, blue finish, hard rubber grips, shipped to Samuel Hill Hardware Company, Prescott, Territory of Arizona, May 20th 1903 in 4 gun shipment. Samuel Hill Hardware Warehouse is currently located just behind the Hilton hotel in downtown Prescott and is bordered by Sam Hill Street. Territorial shipped Colt single actions are rare and desirable. The revolver remains in good condition showing a brown to grey patina finish, good markings, and heavily worn original grips that fit perfectly. The front sight has been reduced and the action is good with notches in tact. Bore is also good. There is traces of blue in the flutes of the cylinder and where protected. All matching serial numbers. Some minor pitting, dings, and dents on the frame. There are interesting period scratched markings inside the grips which are J.C. over X4 inside left grip and T with a diamond shape G.L. over T.F.A. on right. This may be a series of brands or cypher which the key is unknown to us. Included is a carved in tooled leather holster of the same era showing an anchor mark on the back of the belt buckle. This rig is exactly what a cowboy would of carried in Arizona territory shortly after the turn of the century. Comes with a factory letter. FFL required.
