Philadelphia Percussion Derringer Style Pistol marked Gilespie on lock and breach. 6 Groove 3 inch barrel. Of approximately 36 - 40 caliber without ramrod, iron guard, plain German silver mounts, nicely checkered, engraved lock. German silver band at breach, the condition is very good with exceptionally nice wood showing most original varnish. And Sharp checkering. The metal is also very good with original Brown mixed with patina. The metal shows normal age and slight pitting, action is crisp, and stocks retain 60 - 80% original varnish with minor imperfections and normal wear only. Minor scattered pitting, mostly at the left muzzle.
