Morian Helmet with silver rosettes. This helmet weighs approximately 8 pounds and is hand made and forged. Although heavier than normal it is original in my opinion as well as other experts. The silver rosettes may have been added in a later period hundreds of years ago. Eric Vaule and Yvonne Lessans both concurred to the helmets originality. Approximately 50% to 70% etching which is styled which is correct to the 16th to 17th century period remains. Mr. Lessans who sold the helmet to our consignor stated it was in a European museum and catalog. The catalog was lost due to illness.
