-SOLD-Irish Large Bore Percussion Coat Pistol

$925.00

Irish Large Bore Percussion Coat Pistol. Marked Mc Daniel on the lock. 9 inches overall with a 4 ¼ inches heavy octagon Barrel. Of approximately 69 to 70 caliber. A steel plate with three screws is on the left side of the stock behind the lock plate screw, which denotes the removal (professionally) during the period of a belt hook in our opinion. Mc Daniel was from County Mondehan about 1850. The barrel shows most of its stripped fi nish, and the metal is good overall. The stock is fairly good, with some distress and losses around the lock plate screw area horn tipped ramrod has been shortened or broken. Action working. Action sound.
