Fur trade era flintlock import pistol showing A. W. Spies marking on lock and spurious London stamp with ELG proof (Belgium). 14 inch barrel of approximately 62 caliber smooth bore, brass barrel and mounts, simple military type stocking to the left muzzle with no forend cap. Correct flintlock parts are very good condition overall. Showing minor imperfections only. An 8 on 1 - 10 condition grading scale. A. W. Spies was a well-known New York maker who supplied the Western expansion in the fur trade era.
