Early 19th century flintlock pistol by Ketland and Adams showing scarce brass octagon barrel of approximately .80 caliber smooth bore. Full stocked in walnut with 2 barrel keys in silver escutcheons and silver plaque inlaid at wrist. Very good plus to almost fine condition and of slightly larger than normal size. American fur trade and mountain man era. Retains original ramrod. A solid 8 plus on a 1 - 10 condition scale. This marking dates the pistol to 1817 - 1823. Priced very reasonably at $1,595.
