1876 Winchester rifle Indian decorated and used during western fronter era. Documenting letter from G.M. Rainwater Ogalala Sioux to Little John Gangel dated 2008 recants this Winchester was obtained by him on the Pine Ridge Indian reservation from Woody Richards another Native person. By tradition this rifle killed many elk and was carried by ancestors in tribal wars against the white man in the ghost dance era. Serial #60465. The condition is fair to good and the rifle shortened to blanket size for concealment.
