Colt single action army .45 caliber serial #26948 made in 1875. Along with tacked western double loop holster and belt rig showing southwest style double buckle made about the turn of the century. Carved bone grips with paint to simulate staghorn which was popular in the southwest United States and Mexico in the territorial era. The barrel has been reduced to about 6 inches during its working life and visible serial numbers are matching. Traces of period nickel finish remain and action works but not holding on all notches. The leather rig is absolutely genuine to the period of this Colts use and brass tacks or studs show great patina. Priced fairly at $3,250.
