Colt 1860 Army percussion revolver fully and finely engraved in Nimschke style flowing scrolls. Strong traces of original silver and gold gilt finish with ivory grips also in original case with accessories. All matching serial numbers and good markings with pleasing original ivory grips that are also very good condition and fit perfectly. The case is lined in a purple velveteen and remains in very good condition with all original partitions just showing minor wear and aging. The exterior is very good plus with just minor scratches and marks. The accessories include a good original flask, .44 marked Colt mold, two cap tins and a later than the period cartridge pack which is an excellent reproduction by Bob Allen. The engraving is above average with scroll engraving upon the cylinder and the engraving around front sight extends back to the beginning of the barrel address. Using single action standards for engraving this would be a grade C+ or a D meaning far above average. This Colt is the way old collectors like to find them being absolutely original and not abused in any way. Priced very fairly at $8650 for the entire set.
