Colt 1860 army model 44 caliber percussion with U.S. markings and cartouche on grip, #41077. Brown patina finish with scattered surface erosion and lights to moderate areas of pitting. Good barrel address and patent markings on the frame. The grips are good to very good with minor loss at left toe and normal wear and slight imperfections. Good outline of cartouche on left grip. Matching visible serial numbers. The cylinder shows cleaning long ago during use and no scene remains. Good tight fit and crisp action with fair to good bore. A 7 - 7 ½ on 1 - 10 grading scale. A mark purposely cut into trigger guard with some scratching around right frame screw. Civil war production (Compare at 1900 2200)
