American belt pistol similar to Derringers in style marked Drepperd on back action percussion lock. 10 inch overall with 5 inch barrel of approximately 34 – 36 caliber rifled with 7 grooves. Round barrel of medium weight with front blade sight and V notch rear. Iron trigger guard with German silver mounted ½ stock. Varnished walnut stock with some natural stripping in the Fiddleback. The metal is good, and the stock is very good plus, with most original varnish remaining at least 75% to 85%. Shows similarities to both Kentucky and Derringer pistols of 1850’s – 60’s era. “Mitch” Luksitch collection.
