As a superb 18th to 19th century Pavise style shield from Frank Andrina collection Hollywood, California. Mr. Andrina was a prominent collector from the late 1950’s to early 2000’s. This shield was displayed in his home and was his favorite for many decades. Painted gesso over wood construction showing crest of Griffin with stars and checkerboard in multi colors. Condition is very good plus with minor losses and age cracks also slight damage. Approximately 47 inches height by 25 inches width.
