This Yellow Boy shows traces of original blue finish with a very sharp and crisp frame also nice wood with excellent wood to metal fit. Serial #88921 with an estimated production date at 1869-1870. The barrel markings are sharp and fully legible with good traces of case hardening on hammer and lever. The action is good and tight also the bore is very good plus. The front sight blade is missing and there are tap screws in the tang and this rifle shows evidence of a tang sight which is missing. Also the brass cleaning rod door cover is missing. This rifle was found in original owners family who operated a ranch north of Prescott. An original front sight and blade are included along with a replacement brass cleaning rod door cover. A much better than average 66 that with a little gunsmithing and replacement of parts included would increase its desirability and value. Priced very fairly at $8,400.
