This frontier Colt has been shortened to gun fighter length having the barrel reduced to slightly beyond the injector rod housing. Made as a cartridge arm in .44 Colt caliber. All matching serial numbers in good condition with pleasing brown patina finish. The holster is also from the period of use and possibly made from boot tops or surplus leather from coats or other improvised source. This type .44 Colt preceded the single action west and particularly used in the settlement of the western territories. Priced very reasonably at $1,395.
